Yeah, I don't care if this makes me unpopular with the rest of the Magma/Aqua fandom, but I LIKE the new designs. Not completely, but more than I did at first. Okay they are radically different but I think after everyone's over the shock of that the new designs will start to grow on people, like when they revealed Mega Mewtwo Y. And I like new Tabitha and will defend him from all the fat jokes already happening.

There’s room in my heart for old and new teams both, and I’m sure I’ll come to love them–heck, I already don’t dislike them, I’m still gonna buy both games. I think a lot of us are just disappointed because we were really looking forward to the old admins getting official art for once, and instead we got complete redesigns with little to no trace of the original. Not really what we were expecting at all!
really disheartened now cause seems like the majority fandom hate the designs but I like them ;_; don't wanna end up having arguments and losing friends in the fandom over this.

I like the new Aqua design; they look more like pirates. Except for the fact that Shelly's hair color changed. That's weird. Magma looks more like business people. I'm on the fence about that. Nothing wrong with it, just.... I liked the hoodies.

tbh the only thing that bothers me is totally redesigning the admins so that they’re unrecognizable; I don’t see the point. Why not just make all new characters? If they’ve got different hair colors and styles, eye colors, skin tones, body types, and outfits, to the point that there is no resemblance to the original design, it makes more sense to me to rename them and present them as new people entirely. Like, I have nothing against these new designs AS designs–they’re cool! But having them actually “be” these old characters is just…odd, I guess. idk.

Honestly, if Maxie just had a pair of pants instead of shorts, I think the design would be A-plus. Give everyone a bit more color contrast (like grey/black underclothing) and the whole team's redesign will be relatively decent, imo. At least compared to the Aquas, yeesh.
