“Nagai Ichirou (永井一郎) passed away yesterday, January 27th from unknown causes.  He was 82.  Mr. Nagai was the voice of Namihei in Sazae-san, Happousai in Ranma ½, and Tsuru-Sen'nin and Karin-sama in the various Dragon Ball series.  He also provided the voices of Professor Dumbledore and Yoda in the Japanese dubs of the Harry Potter and Star Wars films, respectively.

"In Pocket Monsters, Mr. Nagai provided the voice of the Rocket-Dan scientist Namba-Hakase.  The character debuted in the late Jouto episode "The Mystery of Pokemon X!!” and last appeared in the Diamond & Pearl episode (“Pachirisu is Inside Kabarudon’s Mouth!?”).  Namba-Hakase was the only character Mr. Nagai voiced for the series.
