Lol, have some Poke villains!
Thanks for the submission! Kodai, that’s not very nice.
guys, do not treat your girl like butler does
yeah, ladies hate it when you create a demonic tentacled Godzillaesque monstrosity that immediately eats them alive
Spent forever looking for art of these two, but all I did was discover that there are rather more people named “Diane Butler” and “Butler Diane” in this world that you might initially guess. So have some screencaps instead.
Pokémon: it’s all fun and games until a tentacle monster eats your girlfriend.
I’m pretty fond of Butler (and not just because he’s a cute ex-Magma). He’s quite fleshed out for a one-shot antagonist (flashbacks! backstory! a girlfriend!), and his character growth in the film is such that you could have completely removed Ash and company and it would have done nothing except make the film better. Granted, I’m contractually obligated to say that about everything, but I think you could literally have erased Ash, May, Brock, and Max from the script and it would have barely affected the plot, because all of the character development happens with Butler.
A couple of people have questioned whether this or that movie villain survived the end of their film, and the answer is always “yes.” The rule of thumb seems to be to kill them off for real in the manga adaptation, and to leave it ambiguous in the film itself but then show them alive in the credits (if not of their own film, then of the next one). I scraped together this illustrative screencap collection for reference/reassurance. Left to right, top to bottom:
Molly no. Molly that is not your father. Molly you were closer with Entei.
Also I’m not sure what the theme is here, given that it’s MOSTLY bad guys…except for a few. Also shouldn’t Alberto want a hologram of Alice? Sure he’s an egomaniac but he’s also got a weird crush on her.
Also Jackie that had better be a phone and not a pack of cigs (it is admittedly difficult to tell).
…and with this reblog I now have my first post with something of the dude from the fourteenth movies (“Damon,” I believe it is). I should get around to watching that (them?) sometime.
