The thing is that Giovanni had LONG been dormant, then stepped up to remind us what a great villain he truly is. Then I thought of this song, about another villain who’d waited a very long time to strike. And well–you see what came of it.

Not only are the TRio coming back for XY (though we saw it coming), Giovanni’s got a new outfit for the occasion! (One that finally suits him!)
Oh Arceus, please let this mean there will be another episode or two where he steps up to take names and kick ass!
I’m not sure which half of Giovanni’s vacation outfit intimidates me more: the tacky Hawaiian shirt, or the booty shorts.
Evil team bosses in traditional clothing, take two: Giovanni. (Ghetsis was the first) Japanese clothing, of course.
Now granted, yakuza have full-body tattoos that cover the skin, but I kept Giovanni’s to a winding onix up his back because: A) he’s not really yakuza, and…okay, I’ll just confess: A tattoo that winds up the back like that is probably the sexiest tattoo anybody could ever get, in my humble opinion. And if I hadn’t already had Giovanni’s bare back visible in the comic multiple times by now, I’d give him a back tattoo, because DAMN.

like at literally any given moment you can walk into Giovanni’s office and he’ll just be sitting there like “who’s a good kitty, yes you are”
