Is it bad that I like Lysandre/Sycamore, even though if one assumes it in the games, it puts Sycamore in a REALLY bad light? Like, it’s fun to think of them as friends/former mentor and student/whatever, but if you do then sweet Arceus is Sycamore a terrible friend. Even if you pass it off as ditziness on Sycamore’s part, it’s still like…yooooo why didn’t you TELL ANYBODY WHAT YOUR CRAZY-ASS BOYFRIEND WAS UP TO.

It’s particularly jarring for me because I played Y version, where there is zero mention or even implication of the “immortality” angle from X version, so Lysandre straight up commits suicide (as the player you have no reason to think otherwise) and then Sycamore’s just like “lol man I probably should have talked to him or something…whatever man let’s throw you a parade!!!”
