As some of you may or may not know, Meowth in the English version of Pokémon was long voiced by a lady by the name of Maddie Blaustein, who to my ultimate sadness I learned passed away recently. I don’t remember how or when exactly, but at some point several years ago I read something written by Maddie, when she expressed that her ultimate dream for Meowth would have to be going to a New York Mets game (Maddie’s fave team) with ‘da Boss’, Giovanni. It was just such a cute mental image that I felt obligated to draw it, this being the result… so even though it’s not one of my greatest pieces I wanted to share it. Done with my fabulously cheap Crayola markers.
RIP Maddie… we love you!

(FYPV’s note: Maddie Blaustein passed away on 11 December 2008.)

A/N: I was reading the script for the Pokemon Cd drama “The Birth of Mewtwo” last night. When I read the first chapter and found out that the avalanche hit Miyamoto, I figured she died. But when I read on, I find out that she’s still up there after 24 years looking for Mew! (She makes a comment about how her daughter is growing up after each chapter) That’s when this popped into my head. I didn’t even draw it out, just sat down at the computer and doodled it…. I rather like it:D Gee, Jessie and Miyamoto have alot more in common than they think, ne? Oh well! Enjoy
