Entry #10 in the ongoing ArtistDex project is up! This campy cover for the Hunter J vs. Mewtwo comic miniseries that exists only in my dreams (sob) was done marvelously by Wil Brendel, who illustrates The Redeemers series for Lonely Robot Comics. If you listen to It’s Super Effective!, you’ll also know him as “Artist Wil” who writes the Ability of the Week column on the website. Check out some of his other work on dA!
(And as for the obvious question, “Why doesn’t Mewtwo just make her head explode?”, the answer is, “SHUT UP, THIS IS AWESOME.”)
For those of you who (like me) never got to see the Pokémon Live! stage musical way back in the day, here’s a treat–the whole thing’s on YouTube! The show’s production manager has uploaded it in seven parts for your enjoyment, and though it’s a full-stage taping (no closeups), for me that’s better than nothing. From the vid description:
Pokemon Live! was a multi-million dollar musical stage show featuring the adventures of Ash, Brock, Misty, Pikachu, Giovanni, Team Rocket and the mechanical Pokemon, MechaMew2. It premiered on Broadway at Radio City Music Hall in September of 2000 and then toured the United States and Canada. I was the Production Stage Manager on the show. The video is a full stage shot with no close-ups, but the lighting is good and the quality of the video makes it easy to follow the action of the musical. The show is divided into 7 parts. The show was directed by Luis Perez of Broadway renown.
Practicing body types, and these two immediately came to mind.
I have problems.
Bonus post: Happy Valentine’s Day, Tumblr! If you have a valentine in your life, then enjoy today with them. If you don’t have one, then enjoy today with this picture of Giovanni and the background music I’ve provided.
The real reason why Cyrus formed Team Galactic.

A blog dedicated to the baddies of the Pokémon main series games and anime. It automatically updates once a day, in addition to whatever I post on a whim, and NSFW material sometimes pops up. If you're looking for a specific character, check the tags or browse the archive. Enjoy the villains!
